Minster Vets has been providing veterinary care to the pets of York for more than 100 years. Originally based in a converted townhouse in The Crescent Minster has expanded into one of York’s largest small animal practices.
Minster has six branches in Tower Court, Crockey Hill, Willow Grove, Copmanthorpe and Haxby, and its main small animal hospital in Salisbury Road. Minster moved the main hospital to its current site at Salisbury Road in 1985. Originally poultry and equine were both treated at this site, but since 1998 Salisbury Road has been a dedicated small animal practice. In 2015, the Salisbury Road practice gained hospital status, the highest level of accreditation, from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
Minster has steadily grown and now has 16 vets, 18 veterinary nurses and 19 reception and admin staff, operating across its six branches and at its main hospital in Salisbury Road.
This practice is Vetsure Accredited. Find out more about The Vetsure Network.
