What do I get with Multi-dog insurance? (or Multi-pet insurance)

Many families have more than one dog or cat in their household. With multi-pet insurance, all furry members of the family are covered throughout their lifetime against accidents, or accidents and illnesses, with a range of additional benefits such as transportation costs and the cost if you need to advertise or offer a reward for a lost pet. For dogs, you can also choose public liability cover as an optional extra on your multi-dog insurance.

You don’t have to choose the same level of cover for all the pets in your household. You may choose to have one dog on an Accident Only policy and one on a Premier Plus policy.

What’s different about Multi-dog insurance? (or Multi-pet insurance)

Vetsure Multi-pet insurance policies have been designed by vets to offer reassuring cover and allow you the freedom to claim against an unlimited number of different eligible conditions!

The main difference, however, between multi-dog insurance and our standard policies is the fact that we reward you for proactively looking after multiple pets in your household! For every pet insured on the same Vetsure Pet Insurance Policy, we offer a 10% multi-pet discount that will remain as long as you have multiple pets insured with us!

With Vetsure, you can claim against an unlimited number of unrelated conditions per year. You just choose the level of cover you want per condition.

      With Vetsure, you can claim against an unlimited number of unrelated conditions per year. You just choose the level of cover you want per condition.

      For example, if a dog or cat is unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with three unrelated conditions within the same policy year and was covered by a ‘Premier’ policy he would have up to £2,000 per condition per policy year – so, up to £6,000 Veterinary Fees benefit available per policy year for these three conditions.

  1. We will pay 50% of the cost of special diet food prescribed by your vet to treat specific conditions, or to support the recuperation of your pet during hospitalisation for treatment of an illness or injury.
  2. A one off payment up to the maximum benefit limit upon death of your pet.
  3. Excess for this section is £250 per Public Liability incident relating to Property Damage.
  4. This optional cover is currently only available, and vouchers are only redeemable, at selected accredited clinics. Terms and Conditions apply.

At Vetsure, we offer up to £2 million per incident for dogs only, under Public Liability. This can provide cover for damages and costs arising from ownership of your pet.

  1. We will pay 50% of the cost of special diet food prescribed by your vet to treat specific conditions, or to support the recuperation of your pet during hospitalisation for treatment of an illness or injury.
  2. A one off payment up to the maximum benefit limit upon death of your pet.
  3. Excess for this section is £250 per Public Liability incident relating to Property Damage.
  4. This optional cover is currently only available, and vouchers are only redeemable, at selected accredited clinics. Terms and Conditions apply.

At Vetsure, we offer Preventative Care for dogs Vouchers which can help you save on your pet preventative care, each year. These vouchers are worth at least £160 a year and include:

  • 4 vouchers worth £15 each off worm and flea treatments for dogs (for redemption quarterly)
  • £20 off cost of vaccination
  • £20 off neutering or dental procedures
  • £10 off microchipping or screening blood test
  • £20 off Health Screen Consultation every 6 months
  • Free urine and eye tests
  • Free weight and diet consultation
  • 5% off Pet Food and Shop Products
  1. We will pay 50% of the cost of special diet food prescribed by your vet to treat specific conditions, or to support the recuperation of your pet during hospitalisation for treatment of an illness or injury.
  2. A one off payment up to the maximum benefit limit upon death of your pet.
