What do I get with Multi-cat insurance (or Multi-pet insurance)

Many families have more than one dog or cat in their household. With multi-pet insurance, all furry members of the family are covered throughout their lifetime against accidents, or accidents and illnesses, with a range of additional benefits such as transportation costs and the cost if you need to advertise or offer a reward for a lost pet. For dogs, you can also choose public liability cover as an optional extra.

You don’t have to choose the same level of cover for all the pets in your household. You may choose to have one cat on an Accident Only policy and one on a Premier Plus policy.

What’s different about Multi-cat insurance? (or Multi-pet insurance)

Vetsure multi-cat insurance policies have been designed by vets to offer reassuring cover and allow you the freedom to claim against an unlimited number of different eligible conditions!

The main difference, however, between multi-pet insurance and our standard policies is that we reward you for proactively looking after multiple pets in your household! For every pet insured on the same Vetsure Pet Insurance Policy, we offer a 10% multi-pet discount that will remain as long as you have multiple pets insured with us!

      For example, if a cat or dog is unfortunate enough to be diagnosed with three unrelated conditions within the same policy year and was covered by a ‘Premier’ policy he would have up to £2,000 per condition per policy year – so, up to £6,000 Veterinary Fees benefit available per policy year for these three conditions.

  • Overseas Travel (Vet Fees, Quarantine, Lost Documents)

  1. We will pay 50% of the cost of special diet food prescribed by your vet to treat specific conditions, or to support the recuperation of your pet during hospitalisation for treatment of an illness or injury.
  2. A one off payment up to the maximum benefit limit upon death of your pet.
  3. Excess for this section is £250 per Public Liability incident relating to Property Damage.

At Vetsure, we offer up to £2 million per incident for dogs only, under Public Liability. This can provide cover for damages and costs arising from ownership of your pet.

  1. We will pay 50% of the cost of special diet food prescribed by your vet to treat specific conditions, or to support the recuperation of your pet during hospitalisation for treatment of an illness or injury.
  2. A one off payment up to the maximum benefit limit upon death of your pet.
  3. Excess for this section is £250 per Public Liability incident relating to Property Damage.
